Settle in for this one if y'all want to, as I got a ton of photos to show!
Way more photos on the way!
Painted Desert Fur Con is a brand new event for the furry community here in Arizona, which is nice because the other two main conventions seemed to have fallen a little flat recently. They had a nice colorful aesthetic, using custom artistic signs and banners; plus the venue was really fancy, however expensive. The guests were quite intriguing as well, including legendary artist, Tani da Real! She traveled all the way from Germany to visit us, where I got to meet her in person. I sat right next to her during an awesome panel about the topic of getting over artist block; which seemed to have interesting timing considering my current struggle keeping TWHC alive.
I'll start the event at the weekend before the convention where I led a group of my buddies out into the desert to make some noise.
Setting up weapons and cameras; and having to remind foxes to make sure they don't remain behind the target when shooters are present!
Our resident ZPD officer Jack readies an AK platform rifle fitted with an extended drum magazine.
My green eared wolfaroo friend Toxic positions a custom rifle of his own. Meanwhile, Wolfy checks out a fine piece of Czech machinery.
Getting those Red Dead Redemption vibes with this lever action!
When the shutter goes off at the right time!
The initial drive was well worth it!
The next weekend was quite a historic one for the local furry community, as we were very hyped up to be getting a brand new annual convention! I shall see about editing all the footage I recorded and place it on Youtube, where I'll provide an update with a link. For now, here are some of the photos I gathered of the shenanigans I observed from all my friends and more:
I felt absolutely fortunate to arrive with friends as colorful as these.
Arcana and Toxic goofing around. *rawr* Arcana meets Sunset, one of PDFC's mascots.
Our ZPD officers looking dashing as ever!
Then of course I get busted! Jack's quick uniform change is joined by his partner Aesop.
Miles and I meeting some more folks; excuse the lanyard, it's just a lanyard!
Wolfy gets his game on, while Miles looks vicious.
The final day yielded some rain, but that didn't stop Wolfy! It did, however, make me sick, but I was still able to get this photo with Rivalo and company.
The moment you realize you're literally the only one in your group of friends who doesn't have a suit!
Well, that should catch things up a bit. I still have a lot of footage to go through, but it'll be nice going back through the memories. I hope y'all enjoyed all these photos, and thank you if you took the time to get through this far!
